After 20-years in the exhibit and event industry, Marty McGreevy, president of Cyclonix, still wants more. "I'm hooked on this industry," he says.
The success of Marty's projects reflects his passion, dynamic personality, and contagious optimism. From the King Tut and Princess Diana exhibitions to corporate exhibit environments for Xerox, Oracle and others, Marty has made his mark through his client' success.
Prior to founding Cyclonix, Marty was president/owner of a Midwest-based exhibit house, which grew to $13 million before being acquired by a large national exhibit firm in 2000. After a three year hiatus, Marty returned to the industry.
"Nothing beats the thrill of that ah-hah moment when you know you've created the right solution for a client," says Peter Gallagher, vice president of Cyclonix.
A firm believer in the symbiotic relationship between design and marketing, Peter brings fresh focus to the creative process. Even after 27 years in the industry, he continues to rack-up design and marketing awards. His myriad successes have been chronicled in design annuals and publications including EXHIBITOR Magazine and Event Marketer.
After graduating from the Art Center College of Design, Peter launched his exhibit industry career and has never looked back. He led design teams at major exhibit houses, and created notable work for clients including Silicon Graphics, Intel, Sun Microsystems, General Motors, Johnson and Johnson, Bristol Myers Squibb, and Sanyo. Prior to joining Cyclonix, Peter was general manager of Pinnacle Exhibits.
"We know we've done a good job when our client contact receives recognition from her superiors," says Warren Lopez, vice president of sales for Cyclonix.
Warren first leveraged his degree in marketing from San Jose State University as an event manager at Tandem Computers. Realizing that his attention to detail and knack for event management were a hot commodity, Warren moved to the supplier side of the industry in 1989, and developed a diverse client base that includes Silicon Valley start-ups and Fortune 100 companies.
After serving as an account executive at several exhibit houses, Warren made a permanent home at Cyclonix. "Passion, dedication, creativity-this company embodies every attribute I value," he says.
"Attention to detail-that's how you exceed customers' expectations," says Rick Baker, partner at Cyclonix and executive in charge of project management, fabrication, and graphics program management.
Rick developed his ability to manage complex projects working in animatronics for Edge Innovation (where he contributed to movies including Deep Blue Sea). His leadership streamlined the construction and installation of museum displays at the McKesson Vision Center in San Francisco, and he has constructed and installed lobby displays, graphics, and custom fixtures for Cisco, Google, NVIDIA, McKesson and Philips.
Rick has also supervised installation of large custom exhibits at CES and other trade shows. "Even the biggest job goes smoothly when you've planned and organized properly," he says.
